Erika Almond is a native of Florida and graduate from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Erika has had the opportunity to see education in Florida from both sides; as a student and as a teacher. Along with her Florida teaching experience she has taught in Michigan as well.
Erika has been a classroom teacher for the last twelve years and holds an ESL endorsement. The bulk of Erika’s experience has been in fourth and fifth grades, however, she has taught all grades, K-12, in various capacities. She has worked with combination classes, multiage classes and students with varying exceptionalities, including gifted, special education, and ESL. While working in Florida, her teaching experience was at a rural school in Paisley, FL, as well as at a suburban school in Gainesville, FL. In Michigan, she taught in inner city Detroit as well as a school for students with learning disabilities in Ann Arbor.
Throughout Erika’s twelve years as a classroom teacher, she has utilized Kathy Robinson's programs and has always had outstanding results with students of all learning abilities.
